These are Nuova Rade's standard inspection hatch, ideal for access to storage compartments on board and ideal for inspecting fuel lines, electrical cables, control cables, battery switches and so on.
They have a low-profile design with hidden screws (not included) for a smart appearance.
The hatches have a rubber o-ring to make them resistant to water ingress(approximately IPX5).
Please note that these hatches have a relatively light surround and should only be fitted into a perfectly flat surface which is free from flexing otherwise they may not seal properly.
While these hatches are water-tight, they can not be used under or near the waterline and similarly they cannot be used to hold back fluids.
While they can be installed in the top of a water or waste tank (but above the fluid level), they should not be installed in a fuel tank as the o-ring may become degraded by fuel and no longer function.
For tank inspection lid installations and external use, we recommend instead fitting the Nuova Rade 108mm / 133mm / 168mm hatches as they have a significantly stronger frame.
These hatches are made of tough, UV-resistant ABS plastic and can be used externally.
